English/Essay Writing Tutoring
About
I have been passionately working with youth for the last few weeks in helping them develop reading, writing, and communicative skills. In these areas, students can further develop a confidence in themselves that will carry into the classroom to challenge themselves further! I am currently a Masters student of English at Wake Forest University, where I am obtaining a degree to potentially seek secondary education teacher-licensure!
What I always find most enjoyable about working with students is seeing their confidence soar when their labor results in fruitfulness in the classroom. As I develop a personal interest in my students growth in areas where they can improve their ability, I cannot help but feel excited and proud when they reach their own personal milestones.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meeting new students and learning their uniqueness to help support them in the way that works best for them is a great thing. I'd love to first take the time to get to know the student personally to understand their passions, goals, strengths, and weakness in and out of the classroom. Knowing their styles and preferences upfront will allow for me to help give more attention to those specific areas of weakness (in something as obvious as crafting an idea for an essay, or something less expectedly important such as public speaking!). Further, it will be helpful for me to have a copy of the students' assignments for the quarter/semester. I genuinely look forward to meeting with them to begin helping them on a single assignment, or continuing over the course of multiple sessions to work on a larger assignment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English, and am currently receiving my Master of Arts in English.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Generally, $35 per hour is the standard price for my lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students as young as three years old, and as old as seniors in college. There is no grade level that I am not willing to work with!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise a student who is currently looking for a teacher to seek one who will personally tailor a system of teaching/learning for you. A teacher who uses the same exact resources and processes for each of their students is not necessarily providing the student with productivity. This is why teachers knowing their students individually is most effective in helping them to develop important skills.
