What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process is first to ascertain the goals of the student, weither it is help completing an assignment or assistance in preparing for an exam. If the student wishes they may take the reins and we will tackle their questions directly throughout the session, otherwise I will prepare in advance based on the topic to teach the material from their current level of knowledge or from scratch entirely.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of Science with a major in Biochemistry.

How did you get started teaching?
I first began tutoring other students while I was in highschool, this trend continued through my undergraduate educatrion and has been continuing ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students as young as 13 years and as old as 63, from all sorts of backgrounds and cultures. The learning environment is welcoming to all.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The more questions the student brings to the session the more they are likely to benefit. Sometimes students feel embarassed to ask questions as they feel it's "too basic", but if you do not feel confident in a topic you should always ask, without exception.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think about what areas they struggle with in the material, think about their study habbits, and think about what they wish to obtain from a tutoring session.
