I enjoy developing an understanding for math in students. Seeing the light go off in there head is inspiring for me, and I take pride developing a want to learn in students. I have tutored all throughout highschool for the honor societies I was in such as National Science Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta(Math Honor Society). I was also a member of Rho Khappa, National Honor Society, and the Engineering Honor Society at my Highschool. Outside of school I have experience working with kids thorugh my emplyment as a youth counselor at the YMCA, and as an umpire for my local recreational baseball league.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start off with conversation too make them comfortable, as I know it can be intimidating working with someone older than you, or when you feel like you do not know the material well. Then I like to set a goal, or task for our session, that way we can figure out what area of math we need to work on and try and get better at. After this I will ask to see the homework, or notes that they are struggling with, and we will work to develop those skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I tutored in High School for Mu Alpha Theta, and the National Science Honor Society. I also work with children at a local YMCA. So I have experience tutoring as well as working with children of all ages.
