STEM Tutoring
About
I put large emphasis on applying the concepts I teach and so I will encourage critical and creative thinking during my sessions. After working in the lab for several years I have experience applying the concepts I teach. I also speak spanish fluently
I love being able to help mold young minds into becoming as excited and interested in STEM as I am.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically a lot of the first session will be dedicated to getting to know the students and making them comfortable working with me. Students typically aren't able to learn without feeling comfortable enough to ask questions. We would also be trying to figure out the student's goals and what they hope to get out of the tutoring experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently pursuing a Chemistry B.S. from NC State University and have worked with the NCSU Education Department and their Students Advocating for Youth Village to work with and help support at-risk youth in a variety of schools across the county.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I hope for only $15/hr but the price is negotiable for those who have outstanding situations.
How did you get started teaching?
Prior to working with the folks at NCSU I originally found myself in a tutoring/mentorship position through the outreach program put forth by the robotics team I was a part of.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have primarily worked with younger students (Grade 4/5) though I have worked with older students that had a passion for learning about STEM topics.
