I travel as far as Huntersville and can also do remote visits. If you live close by and would rather meet up at my home that is fine. I can also work with neutral locations as long as it is feasible for me to get there. I also do not smoke, drink, and am comfortable with pets.
I like tutoring because I am dedicated not only to my craft but to my students as well. As a lover of English and Writing with a degree in the field, I understand that writing can be intimidating for students. My goal is to help my students have the degree of confidence in their writing abilities so that an essay doesn't seem like a chore or a challenge. I want them to be able to have confidence in their reading/writing abilities so that they don't feel they are falling behind.
I'm looking for a job that is fairly flexible but also one that will challenge me and give me the opportunity to help students treat English/writing as less of a beast and more of a friend.
