My name is Miss. Adelle and I am offering many different tutoring services including activities classes! I am offering curriculum assistance, remote tutoring, art therapy, musical theatre, Thai chi, yoga and fitness! What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First there is a meet and greet to see if we are a good fit, which is ran like a typical interview. The first session is an evaluation to see what level the child is on, a mix of questions below, on and above grade level. Following is our first official session based on the results and evaluation.
classes start with brain teasers to get the mind pumping. Then I open the floor to any questions or lessons the child may be struggling with. Following I teach a lesson and then provide independent work. At the end of the session the work is graded and explained. Lastly we talk about how we can both improve and I provide an update with the parents.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over ten years of teacher and tutoring experience. I have taught in multiple educational settings including schools, camps, daycares, shelters and privately in homes. I have a bachelors degree in Human Development and am currently in grad school.
