About
With a Master’s Degree in English Language Arts and over 25 years of teaching experience, I am a retired educator with a proven track record of academic excellence. My students consistently ranked in the top 25% statewide on North Carolina’s EOG (End Of Grade) Reading and Language Arts Assessments. I have taught all core subjects in grades 2 through 5 (including online instruction for grade 3), as well as specialized online courses in Reading and Language Arts: Wordly Wise Books 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6 and SAT Vocabulary Test Prep for Grades 7–9. SAT Vocabulary Test Prep has two courses available; Course 1 (17 sessions) and Course 2 (10 sessions).
Throughout my career, I have served in multiple roles including classroom teacher, interventionist, and data coach. I collaborated closely with district administrators to develop a comprehensive curriculum map, mini-assessments for grades 2–5, and STIA monthly assessments in Reading, Grammar, and Math. My expertise lies in instructional design, student data analysis, and delivering results-driven literacy education both in-person and online.
