Joshua Simpson

My name is Joshua Simpson and I am a National Board Certified Science teacher who is passionate about helping students learn Science and Mathematics. I graduated from NC State University with a B.S in Mathematics and a B.A in Physics and afterwards pursued a M.S. in Applied Physics at UNC Charlotte. Over the past 9 years I have taught AP Physics 1, AP Chemistry, Honors Physics, Honors Chemistry, Earth Science, Math 2, and Math 3 at Mooresville High School. When in graduate school, I was a Teaching Assistant for Calculus based introductory Physics problem sessions and Labs. I also have tutoring experience at Omega Learning Center (in person) and Remind Learning (remote) where I tutored these subjects in addition to SAT/ACT Test prep. I classify myself as a content expert in mathematics and Physical Sciences (Physics/Chemistry) and am patient, understanding, and passionate about helping students get the most out of their learning.
