Hi! I love teaching people English (ESL) so they can get out into their communities and speak to those around them, or to pass on that test, or even to read their favorite book.
I do this by focusing on reading, listening, writing and speaking. My students learn by doing activities, hands on, as well as instruction time. If my students are working towards a certain career in school or maybe a big test I try to help them prepare and learn more in these areas. My goals is that they could succeed in accomplishing their goals!
I enjoy teaching as well as getting to know my students! My goal is that learning could be a fun and memorable experience. Learning a new language can be fun and rewarding!
I have my TESOL Certificate and speak Spanish.
I love meeting people from all around the world and learning about them and their culture. I love the thrill of watching the succeed and grow in their English skills. I also love teaching!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I get to know a bit about them and their learning goals. I also place their level and then we move from there. I also determine the best times and places to meet and how frequently.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Nationally recognized TESOL certificate.
I can also speak Spanish. I graduated from high school and have an academic Diploma.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30 per hour. This is also depending on distance. If I drive more than 30 minutes the price will up.
How did you get started teaching?
I initially started teaching Spanish to children I cared for. Then I began volunteering with World Relief as an ESL Tutor. I also tutor on the side a Spanish friend of mine to prepare her for college.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with mostly adults, but also have experience with teaching children.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of traveling places; recently I traveled to Peru!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher that teaches speaking, listening, reading, and writing together! The sky is the limit. Study with diligence and know your goals. Share your goals with your teacher and ask questions when you don’t understand something!
