I believe that a critical purpose of education is teaching students how to become independent, concept-oriented learners. I use subject material to encourage students to problem-solve and think abstractly, giving them tools to be successful both academically and professionally.
Helping students connect with a challenging idea on a conceptual level is my highest joy as a teacher!

I am a graduate student in linguistics with two years of academic teaching experience and strong standardized test scores in English language and literature, verbal reasoning, and writing.
