About
Hello! My name is Rachael, and I've been tutoring students ages 6+ since 2017. My speciality areas are reading, writing, ESL, study skills, college essay writing, and test prep!
I received a BA in English and Creative and MAT in Secondary English Education from Brandeis University along with teaching licensure in Grades 5-12 English and Sheltered English Immersion.
From 2018-2022, I taught middle school ELA and then worked in a program that taught career skills to system involved young adults ages 16-24.I now teach at UNCG's College Writing Program and am working toward my MFA in Creative Writing.
I love being a teacher because of the mentorship and relationships I get to build with my students. Being able to teach foundational skills that help students succeed is incredibly rewarding. I love watching my students grow in confidence both personally and academically.
