Schneider Math Academy
About
I love working with students who have a disliking for math or really want to succeed but feel they cant. As a teacher, you get to become creative and find what works best for the student and how to help them achieve thier goals. My goal is to change the stigma of student feeling math is only for people who are naturally good at it. Math can be for everyone if given the proper tools!
I enjoy helping student get on the right track in school and filling in the gaps of their learning. Moreover, I enjoy helping students make connections to their learning and proving they are capable of learning complex tasks. I also enjoy helping students find their learning style, and tools they can utilize to aid their learning.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Working with new students I prefer to give a baseline assessment to see where the student is at in their learning, and if I can see a common problem in their responses. From there, I will set up a introduction session with the student and parent that provides feedback based on the baseline assessment, and what I would recommend as a tutor.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been tutoring for over 5 years, and currently hold a bachelors in Middle School Mathematics Education. I am actively working towards my teaching license, and spend my free time working towards my masters. My passion has always been teaching and my specialization is in remedial math, as I enjoy the change of dynamic on the way children see math. My tutoring experience has always generated postive outcomes, and all students have shown immense improvement in their test taking skills, proficency of concepts, and overall confidence when using math.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
