About
I am just beginning my tutoring services but I have taught for 12 years including at both the middle and high shcool level. I have experience teaching students with disabilites as well. I provide quality tutoring in English Language Arts including phonics, reading, reading comprehension and writing. I also am certified in Social Studies with a specific interest in American History.
I have my NC Teaching License and am highly qualified in English Language Arts and Social Studies as well as Special Education (K-12). I also have a Master's Degree in Special Education as well.
I enjoy helping others and feel knowledge is useless unless it is shared.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initially, I like to find out what areas the student is seeking tutoring in then I like to assess their strengths and weaknesses. I also find it beneficial to determine their learning style prior to any formal tutoring. Once I have gathered this information I can develop a plan to address their areas of weakness and build upon their strengths.
