About
Hello! My name is Jocelyn and I would love to help you learn to succeed! I firmly believe that material comprehension is a learned skill and has a multitude of applications inside and outside the classroom.
I have been a tutor for a variety of areas since way back in high school! After high school I attended Williams College where I majored in Political Science and History with a minor in Leadership studies. After Williams I attended and graduated from Northeastern University School of Law and passed the Massachusetts Bar Examination in the summer of 2019, I have been a practicing attorney since then.
As a person who has dealt with ADD all of my life, I am uniquely situated to help those who struggle with material due to and inability to strategize and plan their learning.
Please let me know if you have any questions about how I can help you or your child become more successful in your learning endeavours! https://www.linkedin.com/in/jocelyn-volk-43116898/
I enjoy seeing students grasp cponcepts they've previously struggled with. There is that wonderful moment of understanding and it is my goal to replicate that as many times as possible.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I work with a new student I like the first part of our sessions to start out with getting to know one another. I find that when there's a certain level of trust with an instructor, the capacity for learning sky rockets. Once we've established some common ground I am better abvle to adapt to what they need to succeed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I work as a lawyer full-time now but throughout my education I was involved with tutoring my peers in high school, college, and law school. My skills are easily transferable to people of all levels.
