Reading proficiently affects self-esteem and academic performance across the board, and I love to help kids shine. I teach reading, language fluency, handwriting, spelling, and decoding words. The Orton-Gillingham method can be effective in treating dyslexia and other reading challenges.
I am a Mayerson Academy trained Orton Gillingham tutor. Mayerson academy is IMSLEC accredited , and applies explicit, multi-sensory, and diagnostic techniques to tailor every lesson to each individual student.
Every student learns differently, and reading can offer challenges for students that may not learn to read in a traditional way, including students with dyslexia, learning disabilities, and English language learners. The Mayerson program is intended to bridge the gap for those students.
