He is an excellent and great teacher.

Jaybird is one of the best professors I have had. He holds his students accountable and strives to make them the best they can be. He always makes learning a fun experience, and is attentive to the thoughts and feelings of his students. I learned a lot about myself from Jaybirds classes, and Im sure other students will grow under his guidance.

He really cares about his students, not only academically but also personally. He would go out of his way and support his students because he wants to see us succeed in life. He also understands theater and literature extremely well, and teaches them in a way thats easy to understand. Jaybird is extremely personable.

He helped me discover my own voice and encouraged me to trust my instincts which helped me gain confidence in theatre and in life. Professor Jaybirds classes melded fun, creativity, and energy.

Jaybird is easily the most influential and important professor that Ive ever had. He is genuinely invested in each students personal development and has a knack for seeing the strengths in everybody. It was inspiring to see this approach translate into Jaybirds own work, which he always made accessible to his students. Not only did this exposure give me valuable points of reference as a theater student, but it also reflected the ardor, ingenuity, and leadership that he taught in the classroom. I strongly urge students to learn from Jaybird, as they will gain both subject knowledge and an astonishing role model.
