I love getting to know students as I tutor. I am a high graduate that is also in college and I love to help when needed! Sometimes it can be hard to get the job done by yourself so I am here as your guidence. Years ago I use to go to this after school tutoring program. At that program we were tutored by duke students. After a while when the college students would go on break I would volunteer to tutor the kids that were there. From grade 1 to even the high schoolers. I then won certificates because of the way I was helping the students pick their grades up. So I feel I have the advantage to give and help you with your needs. I also make it fun to work with me so we can feel comfortable to talk to one another when working.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I like to see how they would approach the problem or reading. Only because everyone has a different type of learning style. Then I would break every step down in a way they can understand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a high diploma and I am in college working on my degree so I have a lot to offer to students from elementary to high school.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching in 2017 when I was in a duke tutoring program. I would just help out and I was good at getting people to understand how to attack a problem or any assignment they had.
What types of students have you worked with?
The type of students I worked with were no higher than 12th grade. I have also worked with smaller students in the program.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
At one point I was tutoring students who had a learning disability which was very fun. I got to learn how they grasp differently and we had the most good time getting to know each other.
