About
Spanish is my favorite language. If you're taking it because school is forcing you to, my goal is to help you see that you CAN do this! If you're seeking to improve your skills for fun, come join me in a common love for this beautiful language! I care for each student individually. I show a lot of patience and am willing to work to see you succeed. When it comes to writing, I love good Spanish grammar and will emphasize that in my teaching. The most important thing to me is to help you speak naturally so that you don't sound like a text book.
I love seeing students come back to me with improved grades, more understanding and that "ah hah" moment when something clicks!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically like to see what the student is working on in school or what their biggest need is. We review the topic they need help with and either use practice from their book or examples that I come up with on the spot. Depending on the level of student and what they are looking for I sometimes like to spend time speaking with the student. Immersion is the best teacher!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in Spanish in college, but I truly became fluent during my travels to Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Honduras and Puerto Rico.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $50/hour, $25/half hour sessions
