Olivia's Spanish Tutoring
About
I think learning another language is really fun! ! I know it can seem overwhelming or complicated, and students think they can't do it, so I try to make it as simple as possible!
Spanish is actually very logical, and follows way more rules than English does! Understanding the rules can make all the difference.
I have been tutoring one-to-one for just over 10 years, and I've taught students of all ages. I love to help the student understand concepts that used to be fuzzy, and help them feel confident about Spanish and even enjoy it!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We usually text or email back and forth and then set up a weekly time for me to meet with the student by Zoom. My first assessment session is free.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge $25 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I discovered in college that I really liked to tutor other students! I was working at a tutoring center, at first tutoring English and helping students with essays, and then the director asked if I would like to tutor Spanish and that's how I started!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children in elementary, middle and high school, as well as adults!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say you want someone knowledgeable, and you want someone who brings clarity and explains things step-by-step. Spanish is simple, but I think sometimes we overcomplicate it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are the specific areas where you struggle?
What would success look like for you?
