I fell in love with language learning when I took my first Spanish class in high school. Learning another language opens up so many new possibilities for a person--career, frienship, travel, the list goes on. I enjoy helping others acheive their language goals!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I'm ready to work with students where they are at! I usually ask a few preliminary questions to get an idea of where you are at in your language learning process. I like to continually ensure that I am meeting the needs of my students, so I enjoy crafting personalized lessons for each of my students.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Auburn University in May of 2020 with a BA in both Spanish and German Language and Literature. While I was pursuing my degree, I was also working at the on-campus writing center, helping peers with their writing ability in English, Spanish, and German.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25/hour.
How did you get started teaching?
As mentioned above, I worked at the on-campus writing center at Auburn University and had the opportunity to tutor a variety of students. I also volunteered at a local elementary school, tutoring young kids in both English and Spanish. Additionally, I have completed a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course online.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have experience working with adults, college-aged students, as well as elementary-aged students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There are many styles of teaching that work for a variety of people. What I offer is the perspective of a native English speaker learning a second language after childhood. Therefore, I am well acquainted with the technicalities of language learning and can explain them easily.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You know yourself better than I do! Are you completely new to the language? Or just trying to sharpen your skills? Do you need more help with pronunciation? Or maybe you just want to broaden your vocabulary? Try and identify specific areas where you most need improvement. That will help us to get started without being too bogged down discussing the details.
