I pride myself on being able to tailor the instruction to each individual student. Whether they need help with simple concepts or are ready to head into more uncharted waters.
With multiple years of experience in schools as a full time teacher and a NC state teaching license, I am able and willing to help you and your student in any way I can.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
To work with a new student can be a delicate process. I like to take the first session to get to know the student and determine how they can best learn, be it auditory, visually, or through kinesthetics.
After that then we roll up our sleeves and dive into the work!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Elementary Education for 4 years at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, earning my Bachelor's Degree and Teaching License.
Then I worked for multiple years as a full time elementary school teacher working with Kindergarteners, Second Graders, and Fourth Graders primarily.
After school and during the summers I have been a private tutor for many families across the Charlotte area.

Due to the wealth of experience via full time teaching, previous tutoring, and the training required to obtain a NC state teaching license my standard rate is 30.00/per hour. The rate does change slightly if there is extensive distance to travel.
