At Math with Marissa, we are passionate about making math accessible and enjoyable for students of all ages. Based in Pineville, NC, we specialize in personalized math tutoring, homeschool teaching, and comprehensive test prep services. Our approach is centered around building confidence and mastery in mathematics, tailored to each student's unique learning style. I have 24 years of experience teaching math in a classroom and, with that, many years of writing math curriculum for the math classroom. My background includes:

- a bachelor's degree in math

- a bachelor's degree in math education

- a minor in engineering

- a master's in training and development

I have worked with students of all ages over all of the years, from elementary school all the way up to an 87-year-old. I love watching students realize that they are capable and feeling like they're no longer scared of math. When I was in my classroom, we used to have a daily practice of yelling, "I love me sum math." My goal is for my students to be able to really mean it when they yell that they love math.
