Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We'll start with a discussion regarding the goals of our partnership - are we studying togther for a term, cramming for a test, or just working to understand a concept or two that you (your child) have been struggling with.
I like to use link as many of our lessons to real world topics as possible and focus on understanding the underlying principles rather than memorizing concepts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With more than 10 years of experience as an engineer & coach, I have taught at all levels. From working with young children to master basic concepts at the science center to prepping for GMAT and working through advanced math courses with adults.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Price varies based on subject matter and length.
How did you get started teaching?
I've always been a teacher at heart. I worked as a tutor and a figure skating instructor to put myself through college and have taken on new students via word of mouth ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Consider what your goals are and make sure your teacher know.s
