I have 3 years experiences a teachers assistant for introductory and high level computer science courses at UNCC. I have been teaching in some form for 8 years.
What I love about CS is how it can make me feel like a wizard. The problem solving approach we take to debugging and slowly solving this really complex puzzles is really satisfying. I specifically work with super computers so I love the importance my work Hs had on covid research

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first get an understanding of what their goals are, if you want to make your own video game that has a different approve then just learning a programming language. From there we will go over setting up your environment on your system. Then I have various excercised as projects we will start on and dive in head first as CS is best learned through doing
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
College TA: ITSC 1212 intro to computer science, ITSC 3181 introduction to computer architecture
Graduating Dec 2021 with BS in computer science for UNCC and minor in computer engineering
