Figure out what their current experience is, then their goals and then I try to connect the two.

Bachelors degree in computer science.

Middle School through Bachelors degree students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was working with a student who wanted to make a game with python, with no python experience, by the end of the week he was able to mostly by himself put together a project significantly more complicated than anything we had worked on before.

What your goals are, what timeframe you have to meet those goals and how concerned you are with learning the details VS getting it done
