Multisensory Learning Specialties
About
I am a private tutor using multisensory methods with students who have language-based learning differences. This includes those who struggle to develop fluent language skills and is rooted in complex cognitive processes that include attention, auditory and visual perception and processing, memory, and executive function.
I have been a teacher and tutor for 20 years trained in the Orton-Gillingham Multisensory Structured Language methods for reading, spelling writing, grammar, handwriting and math instruction. I hold certifications at the Associate Levels I & II and Certified Level I and Multisensory Math through the Key Learning Center at Carolina Day School.
It is my passion to teach those who struggle with reading, spelling, writing, and math and watch these learners grow and blossom when presented the information in a structured multisensory manner.
