For the first 11 years of my career, I taught every level of high school English, especially effective at impacting students that often slip through the cracks. I am highly effective at developing processes of writing that help students of all ages organize their thoughts and create powerful texts. I have taught specialized classes and workshops preparing students for a variety of standardized tests.

For the last 3 years, I have worked as a secondary Special Education (Exceptional Children) teacher, co-teaching in all core subject areas, but especially impactful in Math. When working with me, students often express relief that *finally* the math makes sense. I am especially effective with students with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnoses, but I work daily with students with a wide variety of learning disabilities.
