About
As a tutor with a bachelors in English, teaching reading and composition is something I am passionate about and find extremely rewarding. I am continuing my own education by pursuing my Masters in Education to better assist my clients and enter the classroom as well.
Reading an composition are my two favorite subjects, and creating effective readers and writers is my passion. Whether your student struggles with vocabulary, content, analysis or composition I am happy to help and inspire all my clients.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I start by assessing a students current knowledge, learning strengths, strategies, and weaknesses in order to develop an appropriate strategy and help them connect with material in new ways.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold my Bachelors of Arts in English and am currently pursuing my Masters of Arts in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in Humanities. I have also passed the Praxis 5038. I have been a substitute teachers, camp counselor, and am currently in the classroom every week completing practicum hours.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching in the equine industry, giving lessons and working summer camps. After igniting my passion for teaching I began substitute teaching and am working to enter the classroom as a licensed teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a range of student ages 12-18, some with special needs and requirements, as well as advanced and college students.
