Becky's Spanish Classes
About
I'm Modern Languages graduate with knowledge in Spanish, English and, to a lesser degree, German.
Seeing my students improve their pronunciation and grammar abilities fills me with joy. We can talk about your specific needs and figure out proper times and worksheets to study.
I have been teaching Spanish speakers to learn English up until now and I decided to branch out to teaching English Speakers Spanish. I have taught previously both children and adults in small groups so I have experience.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Talking to them to find out their specific needs, creating worksheets if they're needed or starting conversations to improve on their pronunciation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a university graduate of Modern Languages.
I previously worked with groups of adults with different levels of knowledge in a language to help them with their pronunciation and grammar skills.
I also worked with both primary and middle school children in private settings to help them with both their homework and to improve on the language they were studying.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It will depend on the level, needs and time that the student has.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching English on the side to my siblings and from then on their classmates also started hiring me to teach them. I was also employed by one of my university teachers to work with him with a group.
What types of students have you worked with?
Both children and adults. As long as it's not a big group I am able to manage.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my students went to the US and my teachings helped her communicate when she arrived. Very proud of her ❤
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If it's a tutor and you're going to be in 1 on 1 setting with them make sure you can get along with them and you can understand them. You're the one picking us so it's important you feel comfortable with both teaching style and personality.
Be honest if you don't understand something too!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about both what is giving you problems and what you enjoy the most about the subject. Working on what gives you problems first and then on what you master will help motivate you and not feel discouraged if the first part takes you a while to understand.
