About

I have been a classroom teacher for 10 years and have also worked as a school counselor for 2 years. I have taught both English (all levels); photography; Art 1, Art 2, Art 3, and AP Art. I also own and operate a portrait photography business and am hired for all types of portrait photography.

I think education should be fun and enjoyable. I enjoy making lessons creative and tend to tie lessons into activities and things that my students enjoy. I am typically hired to teach students studio art (acrylic, graphite, etc.), digital art (Photoshop, Lightroom, Procreate, etc.) and photography skills (from beginner to advanced).

I am enthusiastic, positive, and truly enjoying helping my students reach their full potential.

    Working with Jennifer was so much fun! She is so kind, and just radiates joy. My 8 year-old had the best time posing for pictures and actually wanted to take more, which is totally a first! Jennifer takes so much pride in her work, and it is evident through each step in the process. So glad that she was able to capture some sweet memories for us!     I like to get to know my student and what they like and dislike before actually beginning lessons with them.  When I know what a student enjoys in their free time, what their family is like, what their educational experience is like, it tends to help me relate more to the student and develop lessons that more benefit each student.

    I come from a long line of teachers in my family, so I feel like teaching is something I was destined to do. It's in my blood. I enjoy helping my students achieve their full potential.
    All ages and grade levels as far as private art lessons are concerned. In my professional, public education career through the state, I have taught students grades 7-12.
    Make sure that you find a teacher that you connect with on a personal level. Also make sure that they are strong in the knowledge of their content area. :)
