Frequently asked questions

My process depends on the student. A student may not be struggling with the subject but rather their confidence with the subject, so working on their confidence may be my goal for that student. And of course students will struggle with a subject, but I focus on individual issues. A student can have many talents, and I like to uplift those talents and encourage them through their struggles.

By this summer, I will have a year's worth of tutoring pedagogy training and education through Millsaps College. I have also been an Academic Guide with MiSsion Acceleration as well as tutoring my peers for over 4 years.

$25/hr for all students in only the following subjects: English/ELA, Creative Writing, and Essay Writing.

Maximum amount of hours per session is 4 hours. Minimum is 1 hour.

Cancelations must be made at least 90 minutes in advance.

I got started teaching in my freshman year of high school. I created a Creative Writing club at my high school and had majority younger students participate. After that, I knew I wanted to teach any and all students and share my knowledge with them.

I've worked with many students. Peers from high school and college, and younger students in middle school and upper elementary.

Find a teacher that you can be comfortable with. Your first session, you'll be nervous. But if that nervousness happens every session, or you aren't receiving the lesson well, it's ok to find a different teacher that can suit your needs. We say the same thing about trying on new shoes or finding a therapist or doctor. Being comfortable in your lesson is your first step to success.
