About
I've been a tutor online and in person (alternatively) for 3+ years, including college and upper high-school English courses. I am passionate about my students and their success.
Getting to know my students is essential to me. I love learning about each individual's strengths, and helping them improve where they can. I believe every student has the right and the ability to succeed, given the proper guidance and support. Nothing brings me more joy than returning to a student after a big test, or getting an essay back, and having them glow with the confidence success gives them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always like to get to know them a little bit first. What's their experience with english? How have they had instuctors treat them in the past? Are the confident in thier ability to succeed? If not, what can I do to change that?
After I get to know them as an individual a bit more, we can hone in on the task at hand. They may be struggling with something that their instructors in school may not be recognizing, or may not have time to help them with. I hope to be able to fill that gap and bridge the way to the studen't success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a BA in English, with a minor in Applied Creative Thinking. My minor emphasises pedagogy and adaptability, allowing me to work with a broad range of students and meet them on thier level.
Furthermore, I worked at a consultant at EKU's Noel Studio for Academic Creativity for 3+ years, where I partnered with 15-30 students each semester and assisted them in thier coursework, emphasizing the importance of college-level writing and good rhetorical skills.
