Solving Problems Together
About
I don't necessarily stand out. What I do promise is that I will do everything in my power and with my resources to help you to overcome any learning obstacles you may be experiencing.
I have tutored in mathematics in college, and in GED classes. I am not a mathematics genius, but then who is? But there are certain fundamental concepts that learners of math may have trouble in overcoming, and that's where I come in, with patience, and examples. I have been told that I am good at 'explaining things' and I'd guess that's due to my ability to communicate, to empathize, and to articulate.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first part is very important, because it's about you.

It is always helpful for a tutor to know where you are at in your coursework, to establish a strategy and a timeline to get you from where you are NOW to where you need to be at some future point in time. Sometimes the need is urgent, other times not so urgent, so then a longer term strategy can be laid out.
There are so many materials available online for learning these days, it would be helpful to know what you have been working with, and in some cases, what you are stuck on.
We'll find solutions to your problems together. But in getting to know you, all initial-phase consultations are FREE.
