I am passionate about teaching students guitar and piano and helping them grow musically. I have worked with students ages 4 to 70 years old, and have a consistent record of successful students. I hold a Bachelors of Arts degree from The University of Wisconsin in Madison, and have been teaching for over 30 years.

Michael Levine has been my weekly guitar teacher for over 15 years, and I can see why the River Front Times has named him Best Guitar Teacher in University City. Ive seen him work equally well with kids and adults during jams at my house at all levels of playing ability. Hes very laid back but always on time and seems to know every song I can think of to play. Learning to play music is a gift.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

In order to encourage confidence, new students work with Tableture to strengthen finger muscles and learn simple melodies. Those with experience are taught from their comfort level.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 20 years of private and public school teaching experience in music.
