I really enjoy watching students progress over time; it is one of the most satisfying parts of my job.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I try to meet the student where they're at. I like to see feedback from previous or current teachers in the form of essay corrections, tests, or by having an introductory conversation with the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have previous experience with tutoring German and English at the college level. I have helped grades improve from low Bs to high As, and I certainly love a challenge!
I am currently studying at Washington University in St. Louis and plan to graduate in May 2022.

I charge $25 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
A professor at Washington University reached out to me and asked if I would be willing to tutor a student in German who was struggling due to classes being fully online. I really enjoyed watching the student progress over time, and the experience made me fall in love with tutoring!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with college and high school students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event I am fond of was when my tutee texted me excitedly to tell me he got a 95 on a recent exam! I was so glad to see his hard work pay off.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It's okay to not vibe with a tutor/teacher; building a strong professional relationship is definitely crucial to improving in your studies.
