Jocoa Kerschen

I graduated from Benedictine College (BC) in May 2023 with a BS in Biochemistry. Outside of multiple research experiences at BC and Duke University (including physical chemistry, bacterial defense systems, drug delivery for pediatric brain cancer, and drug development) I have tutored for 4+ years and love helping people better understand the world we live in through scientific and mathematical concepts. For the past two years I have been teaching secondary-level (high school) chemistry and biology in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania with Peace Corps, and just recently returned in Nov 2025. While I enjoy teaching at all levels, I am most excited to help younger generations gain both a confidence and interest in the sciences. As a result of my confidence in my abilities as a tutor, I am willing to give my first lesson for FREE so you can decide if you feel it is the right fit!!
