Hello I'm Rachel Miller! I am currently a student at Missouri State University pursuing a degree in Occupational therapy. Despite my major I have also had a great love and success in math throughout my years in school. I have personally taken up to college Calculus, and throughout all of my years in upper level math I have been a tutor on the side. I graduated from Springfield Catholic High school with at 4.2 GPA and although I have not completed my college degree yet, I feel very confident in my ability to tutor you. I have been tutoring math at various levels for about 3 years now. I have always enjoyed math and I helped explain concepts and problems to my friends throughout high school and college. I have also tutored math for younger kids as well. I have been a paid tutor for 2 years now and I really enjoy being able to help kids understand math and I hope I can help you too! I have tutored anything from college algebra to Algebra 1 to grade school math. I want to help your child succeed and become good at math. I believe they're are many different approaches to understanding math, and I want to help you find the right one for you. With practice and the right instruction, you can become great at math.
I want to use what you have already been taught in school and build upon it. Math is a very foundational subject; it builds upon itself. I want to help you learn a strong foundation in math so you have the tools to be successful not only while I am tutoring you, but for many years to come as well. I have tutored mostly high school students in the past, but I have also tutored a little grad school and college level as well. I really enjoy breaking down something as complicated as math and helping kids to understand and succeed. I would love to help you become good at math. I'm very flexible about hours and have a very relaxed cancelation policy. I offer one free trial session for free to see if we hit it off and you enjoy my tutoring style. I love math and I can't wait to help you love it too!
