About

Hello! I would love to tutor online with you. I have tutored online through tutors.com. I was an in-person education assistant as a Youth Specialist for almost a year, homeschooled my son for two years, and helped my church’s youth program for two years. I am excellent with computers and software and learn quickly. I have worked remotely in a clerical role. I have taken many education, psychology, and Spanish courses. I am a B1-level Spanish user (and climbing!) on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages as well as a native American English user. I have completed two education practica. I have a bachelor degree through Missouri State University focused on education, psychology, & biomedical sciences. I would love to hear from you!

    Frequently asked questions

I like to have quick access to the syllabus for the course if the tutoring will be for a longer term to allow me to plan for current and upcoming assignments and gather needed resources. If known, some insights into preferred learning methods such as text, lecture, video, audio recording, etc. would be helpful.

I have 171.5 college credit hours with emphases in education (27 hours), psychology (15 hours), and biomedical science (15 hours). I have completed two early childhood practica. I have assisted with generalized high school and religious education. I have a Bachelor of General Studies degree with a 3.31 overall GPA.

My hourly rate is $20. With this rate, you can purchase live instruction, preparation, proofreading/editing, grading, research assistance, and other services upon request. Depending upon other resources needed or requested, additional costs may apply.

My earliest days teaching were in my own elementary school days when I would get done with my assignments, and my teacher would ask me to assist my classmates. I have enjoyed the teaching I've gotten to do through my college courses and practicums, and I'm looking forward to even more experiences with online teaching.

I have worked with students anywhere from 4 years old to adults.

If you do the work, the learning will come. You have to figure out how you learn. How do you prepare yourself to learn? How many times and how often do you need to observe content before it sticks? What learning formats, like music, games, or stories, help you learn the best?

What ARE my goals? Improved grades? Do better on the test? Better understanding of content? What can I already do to meet my own learning needs? What other learning resources could I bring in now? What are the gaps in my learning? Have I missed anything I should review?
