About
In my 12 years of teaching I find that the best students are the ones that have fun while learning. I tell a lot of stories from my work experience in industry and love to make the students laugh.
The gratification one recieves when one sees a student after many years and knows how successful they have been is a huge reward for a teacher. Especially if the student has mentioned that you have been instrumental in influencing their career decisions.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The teacher must be able to have a connection with the student. The rapport between student and teacher has to be an important factor in choosing a teacher. Also, does the teacher make the subject matter fun to learn. This may not always be possible but having fun while learning is an important tool to develop
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
If students find that they have worked on the problem in different ways and have not been able to solve it, that is the right time to reach out to the teacher. I find that most students give up on problems at the moment they hit the first snag.
Try your best and I am always there to help.
