K-8 English Tutoring
About
I am passionate about reading and would love for others to share my passion. I am very patient and willing to go as fast or as slow as the student needs. I will work with them so they can achieve their goals!
These are some qualifications and awards I have received: KU Reading award-The KU reading program invites grades first through fifth to pick their own books to read that fit selected categories until they finish their log. There are prizes for how many categories you read and how many books you finish resulting in bronze, silver, and gold prizes. Once you get to fifth grade; and you get a gold, you can get a Jayhawk patch.
Writing- In 2014 I went to a writing camp called Writing Workshops for kids. It was located in Kansas City. I was taught skills by a published author, Mary-Lane Kamberg. Once the class was over I began to write for fun, and I’m currently working on a novel.
I hope I can help your child learn to love reading!
I enjoy helping others get a better understanding of a subject they need help in, so they can not only understand it but enjoy it as well.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with a new student is finding out where they're skill level is at, and then working on things they need help with and improving their knowledge of the subject.
