About
I've been a middle school teacher for 26 years. I've taught 6-8 grades with certifications in ELA, History, Science and a Science minor. I have my Masters Degree in Education, along with 30 more hours of graduate level classes. I have worked with At-Risk kids that were seen by juvenile officers and some had house arrest ankle bracelets. One of my goals with tutoring is to make kids feel comfortable and confident in their eduacation.

How did you get started teaching?
I always wanted to be a teacher. I loved school. I wanted kids to be excited about learning.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types-gifted, at-risk, 6-8, elementary, kids with trauma-we experience different situations daily.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am happy when I see the 'light go on' when a student knows they 'get it'.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Studetns should make a list of talking points so nothing is forgotten.
