Patterson Reading Tutoring

Hello! My name is Ms. Kaley and I am a Special Education Reading Intervention teacher. I have worked for a nonprofit focused on reading, worked as a 1st grade teacher for two years, and as a special education teacher with a focus on ELA and reading for two years. I have my Masters in Urban Education. I love reading. I love seeing students grow as readers and become more confident in themselves. When I teach reading, I meet the student where they are at, review the graphemes they recognize, teach them knew graphemes, and create a space where they feel okay to make mistakes. When students feel safe, they thrive. I hope you will trust me to work with your student on their reading skills or coach them through their writing or understanding literature.
