Dan's Math Tutoring
About
I'm Dan and I do Math! I also enjoy running, biking, hiking, and in general the great outdoors. I have a wife and two kids and together we like to adventure and try new things.
I currently work as a research engineer at 3M, specializing in Robotics. You could say I do math for a living (more so than anyone else I know!). So whether it be Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, let's tackle it together!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I sit, listen, and look over their problem with them. If I know how to solve their problem I then look for an intuitive way to guide the student step by step to the solution. It's important to me that every step is crystal clear along the way to the learner.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a research engineer I do math everyday! As part of my work I'm expected to be able to clearly communicate the results of my work to others.
How did you get started teaching?
Volunteered to be a tutor
What types of students have you worked with?
In college I worked as a TA for an introductory engineering math course. I'm happy to work with any kind of student both old and young!
