William Robert Winter Nixon

As a recent graduate of political science, knowledge from world history, U.S. history, and statistics (including math and calculus) are all things I can teach. As a current volunteer English tutor for the past few months, and a part-time tutor in my college years, I love taking the time to establish an individual connection with any student. I like to tailor my teaching style to the behavior and temperament of my students in order to help them learn and grow- the focus should be on them, not me. I believe that learning is inherently enjoyable, and if kids enjoy it, they will certainly learn more! That being said, I am also very open to feedback and ideas from parents about what kind of direction they think I should take. My expertise is generally that of social studies, although I am also able to teach math, and science. Please speak to me if you want to discuss a different course, like English, reading or writing, and I'm sure we can make it work.
