I am a retired high school physics, chemistry and math teacher with 30+ years of classroom experience. Since retiring 5 years ago, I have been tutoring online with students of all different ability levels. My BA from the U of MN is Asian Languages & Literatures, focused on Chinese language & culture, with a 2nd major in Global Studies. After studying Chinese at the U here, I went thru the U to study in China. I subsequentlyl spent near 20 years in Asia, mainly in Mandarin speaking areas. I studied at universities in both China and Taiwan - in Taiwan I studied 4 years of Classical Chinese language, and received scholarship for one year while there. I have a passion for teaching in diverse settings. I have extende experience having taught in many international schools in Southeast Asia. I also have two bachelors degrees, one in Earth Science and one in Linguistics. I should also mention that I have great experience in math; I took a class in Linear algebra and differential equations when I was at university.
