Hello! My name is Julie, and I am an educator at heart. I have taught English to speakers of other languages for over 14 years, and I have studied several languages -- my strongest languages being Italian and Korean. I am a native speaker of American English, have a master's degree in teaching English as a Second Language and a Minnesota elementary school teacher's license. I've worked with students from birth through age 85.
Language learning opens doors to understanding how others think about, view and understand the world. I want to help open that door for you, whether that be through improving your reading, writing, listening or speaking skills for personal or academic purposes. I am highly experienced with teaching college-level English skills, particularly with essay writing, pronunciation and presentation skills, as well as grammar. I enjoy providing authentic materials such as articles, movies, social media, and other sources of real-life language in everyday and academic use. I look forward to working with you
