Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
LDA Minnesota will ask each family to complete a Registration Form which asks for information about the student, learning challenges they are experiencing, testing or assessment history, and their goal for tutoring. Based on this information, our Tutoring Coordinator will contact the family with a suggested tutor and times that may work to meet regularly. Our tutors will conduct a pre-test to determine where the student is starting and after 12 sessions will test again to show what progress the student has made. Along with the family, the tutor will adjust the goals and continue services, as needed.
