Vincent's Tutoring For Victorious Writing

I am a Literature, Composition and Latin teacher, and so, on a daily basis, I am helping students to think clearly about their grammar and their writing. I chose this profession because I love literature, writing, and generally being thoughful about the world and its meaning, and so I bring substantial enthusiasm, in addition to linguistic expertise, both to the classroom and to private lessons. I have also worked as an English tutor, both to native speakers and clients for whom English is a second language.

I enjoy every aspect of it. I enjoy reading timeless literature and appreciating the clarity and elaborateness of masterly writing. I enjoy teaching those same techniques that undergird the writing of the masters to students, who then can use those rules and tricks to express themselves. I enjoy the challenge of helping students to learn a craft as difficult as writing clearly and meaningfully, and I especially enjoy the sense of victory and accomplishment that students inevitably experience after all of the hard work they do. I am also, perhaps above all, a student myself, and I enjoy continually honing my own writing craft.
