"Reed" And Write Tutoring
About
Although my specialty is science, I come from an English background. I have always been passionate about literature. Once you develop a love for writing you start to see life in a creative and inquisitive way.
Although at its basis, tutoring serves to teach, I hope to instill a sense of interest. The best learning happens when there is some level of fun involved.
I am a teaching assistant at the University of Minnesota. I have experience with college level English and literature classes as well as high school AP English. My ability to perform highly in those courses was a mixture of genuine interest and instilled knowledge.
Obviously people enjoy reading and writing, so there is something to be said about how important basic knowledge can be.
I am available to give instruction in elementary English, essay writing (for both college applications and AP tests), essay editing, and any other struggles that come along with education. My advice and experience makes me well suited for any challenges. I've been through it all, so I get it.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing will be on a sliding scale given what the student can provide. The scale will range from $13-$25 an hour. Whatever the individual client can provide would be appreciated.
How did you get started teaching?
My long term goal is to obtain a PhD in Biology so I can teach at a University at the proffesor level, therefore it was necessary to get teaching experience. Plus I love education and am always happy to help!
