I have over 15 years of experience working in education, private tutoring students from elementary to high school for 13 of those years, and the last 2 years as a Math Corps tutor for students who are at risk for falling behind. I have worked with many students that have had learning challenges and I can empathize with my students because as a child, I also struggled with math.
I've received training in Multi-Sensory Math, Executive Function, training through Ampact (formerly Americorps) for Math Corps tutoring, and many other training opportunities they offer; Student Engagement, Navigating Conflict, Understanding & Managing Students' Behavior, Communication, Asset Based Perspective, and Implicit Bias.
